Daniel (59 year) - Nationality: South AFrican - march 17, 2004

"I started smoking when I was 17, and I could never quit. Last year I decided to smoke much less that 20 cigarettes per day, it worked for a few months but I found that I was steadily increasing again. I got Zyban from my doctor - but it did not help. Then, on February 1st, I decided it was time to quit - and I did! I am somewhat disappointed as I do not feel an awful lot better - but I know I will never smoke again. I talk to myself a lot. Telling myself that I do not really want to smoke. It's better than Zyban, or patches, or gum, I think... Don't start, you guys. Its not cool and its hell to quit."
